What is the Narcotics Anonymous Program?
Narcotics Anonymous is a non-profit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. This is a program of complete abstinence from all drugs. There is only one requirement for membership, the desire to stop using. We suggest that you keep an open mind and give yourself a break. Our program is a set of principles written so simply that we can follow them in our daily lives. The most important thing about them is that THEY WORK.
Surrender in the Mountains is a spiritual retreat sponsored by the Alabama Northwest Florida Region of Narcotics Anonymous. From its inception 36 years ago, it was designed to be a retreat where the fundamental purpose is to allow addicts to commune with one another in order to enrich their spiritual development. The event is held at the majestic Bald Rock Lodge at Cheaha State Park; with speaker meetings on Friday and Saturday nights, workshops, and "Open Mic" on Sunday. Morning meditations on Bald Rock are absolutely a "Must" experience for all addicts in attendance. It is a weekend filled with addicts sharing their experience, strength, hope and the message "That no addict seeking recovery need ever die." We will also have fun activities both indoors and outdoors for all ages so bring your whole family. Let's make 2019 the BEST SURRENDER EVER!!
